Home DM News Beyond Brilliance: David Morris Looks Beneath the Surface Glamour with its New Campaign

Beyond Brilliance

With its latest campaign, Beyond Brilliance, David Morris casts a spotlight on the exquisite artistry of its creations.

Through the interplay of light and shadow, the campaign offers fresh perspectives on the jewels that define the creative language of David Morris in 2025. Revealing and concealing in equal measure, Beyond Brilliance contrasts radiant light with dramatic shadow. Under the intense beam of the spotlight, the vibrant hues of coloured gemstones are magnified, the inner fire of diamonds is ignited, and design details are brought into sharp focus.

Beyond Brilliance builds on the creation of The World of David Morris—a major new coffee table book, unveiled in September of last year.

Presenting the House in a new light, it captures the mood of the new campaign by revealing how the beauty of a David Morris jewel lies not in its sparkle alone. Rather, it is vision, artistry and innovation that truly define each piece.

The new campaign bears the unmistakable signature of a new generation of the Morris family, driven to tell the House’s story through a powerful visual language that transcends surface glamour. Orchestrated by Cecily Morris, a third generation of the family legacy, it invites viewers into the world of David Morris as it stands today, narrating a story of opulent artistry, meticulous craftsmanship and a profound love of detail.

Beyond Brilliance showcases the heritage gems—diamonds, sapphires and emeralds—that are perennially in demand at David Morris. It also spotlights the uniquely rare and colourful gems that serve as canvases for creativity for CEO and Creative Director Jeremy Morris and his team of designers.

Among these treasures is a 35 carat oval Padparadscha sapphire, reimagined as a sophisticated cocktail ring embellished with pink diamonds and graphic, baguette-cut diamond chevrons. A collection of oval Paraiba tourmalines—the glowing centrepieces in a sculptural ring and starburst cuff. And a clutch of conch pearls, transformed into a modern and masterful bangle.

The creation of a piece of David Morris High Jewellery is a journey that can take years, as the House’s designers meticulously curate and compose collections of stones to achieve the most visually striking arrangements. Beyond Brilliance also directs its beam of light on a series of High Jewellery necklaces that highlight the House’s devotion to detail.

Abstract, interlocking diamond shapes evoke the design rigour of the 1920s in the Mercurio necklace, culminating in a 5 carat pear shape yellow diamond drop. The Asteria necklace features tessellated diamonds that cascade elegantly over the collarbone, with black onyx accents providing the only splash of colour in this monochromatic masterpiece.

In the resolutely contemporary Serendip necklace, zigzags of Fancy pink diamonds frame oval sapphires, while the Mosaico choker showcases an important 15-carat emerald-cut Colombian emerald, set within a tapestry of step-cut diamonds and emeralds.

“The contrast of light and shadow in our latest campaign captures the essence of David Morris today,” says Cecily Morris.

“It casts our creations in a new light while highlighting their duality, where heritage meets innovation and tradition meets modernity. We are never afraid to push creative boundaries. Beyond Brilliance is a testament to this commitment, spotlighting the standout beauty of a Davis Morris jewel.”

Beyond Brilliance was shot by photographer Tarek Maward, with video direction by Raquel Couceiro.

Tarek explains his creative vision: “I was drawn to visually mirror the high-art aesthetic inherent in David Morris jewellery—each shot a play of light and shadow to highlight the meticulous craftsmanship of the pieces.” The styling, courtesy of Sara Gilmour, was directly inspired by the theme of the campaign: “The neutral tones and modern classics allow the jewellery to truly take centre stage. I chose interesting silhouettes and necklines that give the jewels room to breathe, supporting but never distracting.”
